Mary Jane Wright, 84, Sheridan, passed away Monday morning, March 13, 2017, at Harbor Manor Healthcare in Noblesville.

She was born July 16, 1932 in Indianapolis to the late Sherman and Helen V. (Stout) Landis.

She was a 1950 graduate of Sheridan High School. She married John Edward Wright on Feb. 17, 1951.

For more than 30 years Mrs. Wright worked for Aero Drapery as a seamstress and assembly person. She was an avid reader and loved puzzles of all kinds. Crossword and jigsaw puzzles were among her favorites. Family meant the world to her, and spending time with her grandchildren was by far her most favorite activity.

Survivors include her son, John Edward Wright, Jr. of Colombia, South America; three daughters, Cynthia Wright of Noblesville, Linda Wright of Fishers and Violet (Donald) Chesney of Kirklin; four grandchildren, Garret, Jacob, Lucas and Lilly Chesney; one sister, Phyllis Gary of Carmel; and two brothers, Joe (Sharon) Landis of Indianapolis (formerly of Kokomo) and David Landis of Noblesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Denise Lynn Wright; brother-in-law, Don Gary; and by her husband John Edward Wright on May 5, 1997.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Kercheval Funeral Home; 306 E. 10th St. in Sheridan. Family and friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Crown View Cemetery. Pastor George Cooper will be officiating.
