Jacqueline Kay Bailey, 81, Lebanon, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born in Boone County on July 27, 1937; a daughter of the late Noble and Pearl (Ottinger) Barnes.

She attended Sheridan High School.

She was married to Charles Samuel “Sam” Bailey, on May 31, 1953. He survives and they shared 65 loving years together.

Mrs. Bailey worked for Pitman Moore Company in Zionsville and Federal Mogul in Frankfort.

Her hobbies included cooking for her family, crocheting and reading. She loved life on the farm and having family and friends near.

Survivors other than her husband include two sons: Victor L. (Alice) Bailey, of Lebanon and Vince (Lisa) Bailey, of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter: Verona L. (Brian) Shipley, of Silver Springs, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Eric (Melissa) Bailey, Jessica (Don) Craig, Renee (Jordan) Small, Jennifer (Byron) Hutto, Breck Shipley, Nicholas Bailey, Austin Bailey and Brandi Bell; nine great-grandchildren, Sam, Emmett, Aleia, Paige, Ethan, Hannah, Oliver, Evelyn and Isaac; a sister, Patty (Royce) Hug of Indianapolis; and brothers Ernest (Valerie) Barnes of Sheridan and Robert (Sibby) Barnes of Sheridan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Vanesa Bailey.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St. in Lebanon. Family and friends may pay their respects Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
