Kyle Harwood, son of Stacey and Brian Harwood of Sheridan, has earned an engineering and computer sciences scholarship to attend Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne.
Harwood, a senior at Sheridan High School, will pursue a degree in mechanical engineering at Indiana Tech. He, along with other elite scholarship recipients, received his award at a banquet in Fort Wayne on March 3. Harwood will get $15,000 for his freshman year, and $15,000 for each of the next three years, provided he meets the school’s academic criteria.
At Sheridan High School, Harwood was a varsity football and baseball player. He attended yearly mission trips with his local church since 2011 and is president of the church’s youth group.
