With so many issues in our country, it's nice to see positive things happening. That's exactly the case at the Sheridan Public Library where a number of young people are participating in the summer reading program.

The group, which includes Sheridan High School art teacher Kim Hogge and students Elijah Kinkead, Caleb Kinkead, Oliver Burke, Leah Moorman, Cheyenne Elizondo and Robert Bowen, have an opportunity to do a variety of fun things every Friday morning. Recently, the young adults were involved in a Cookies and Canvas program that resulted in some nice works of art. All are fine artists and great young people and represent good examples of the quality individuals growing up in our community.
