Sheridan resident and Town Council member Brenda Bush snapped this photo of debris being removed recently following months of cleanup after a July 12, 2014, fire on Main Street in Sheridan.

The fire destroyed MainStreet PowerMail, one of Sheridan’s most historic buildings, at 400 S. Main St. The 112-year-old building has been a landmark for business of the town through the years.

It also changed the look and feel of downtown. However, the cleanup is a great step toward a new beginning and better things are ahead.
